Job Description:

The HSE Advisor will be responsible for monitoring project contractor's compliance with project requirements, local safety regulations and the contractor's own SH&E plan.

  • Serving as the field point of contact for monitoring and maintaining compliance with contractors' own SH&E Policies and plans.
  • Undertaking daily visual inspections, reporting issues and submitting an observation report to the Contractor via project reporting system. Followup the closeout of same with Contractor.
  • Attending site SH&E meetings.
  • Submit safety inspection reports as directed by the Resident Engineer / Project Manager.
  • Check SH&E requirements in method statements, risk assessments and permit to work procedures submitted by the Contractor.
  • Check that all agreed SH&E standards and applicable SH&E regulations are observed.
  • Check appropriate maintenance, calibration and operation of all safety equipment.
  • Check site security, fire, first aid and welfare facilities and procedures appropriate to the works are provided and adequately maintained.
  • Assist in the Investigation of all accidents and dangerous occurrences and report in accordance with the client requirements and AECOM procedures.
  • Set a high personal example of Health & Safety at all items.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in appropriate discipline with special emphasis on SH&E duties.
  • High level certificate, Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety or in a related field.
  • Preferred designation as a Certified Safety Professional (NEBOSH/IGC)
