Purpose
- making skills and possess the ability to work with children and adults. The Lifeguards must be able to enforce pool policies and be able to communicate effectively as to why policies are in place.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Red Cross(or equivalent) Lifeguard Certification Required.
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certifications Required.
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to react to emergency situations by quick movements, strenuous activity, and on occasion assist or lift persons in distress of varying weights from water or on land.
  • Required to remain alert to dangerous situations while sitting, standing, or walking for various lengths of time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous lifeguarding experience
  • Experience of working in a school environment an advantage

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations by activating the school Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
  • Actively guard and scan the pool area at all times; refrains from socializing while guarding.
  • Communicate all BHSR and pool policies and rules in a personable and professional manner.
  • Dress and appearance are consistent with BHSR standards including wearing your swimsuit, guard
shirt, whistle, and other required rescue equipment while on duty.

  • Conduct pool inspections and check pool chemical logs in partnership with the external pool maintenance contractor and report imbalances or concerns to the Principal.
  • Proper communication protocol and response in a timely manner, includes radio communication to the reception, PE staff, building managers, and direct supervisors.
  • Record daily participation numbers and complete daily cleaning assignments.
  • Attend and participate in regular inservice trainings.
  • Provide a welcoming environment for all patrons.
  • Document any incidents and/or injuries.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work space
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the BHSR sports department and Principal.

  • Riyadh: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
