Your Role and Responsibilities


The IBM Sustainability Software business unit is seeking talented and motivated Software Designers with a focus on solutions for Waste & Water Management leveraging capabilities across IBM Envizi, IBM Maximo Monitor & Tririga.

In this role, you will be responsible for designs of new product capabilities.

You will closely collaborate with the broader Product Management, Design, Development & Support team using Scrum agile methodology.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to IBM's Sustainability Software unit with major new capabilities that leverage foundational capabilities from Envizi, Maximo and Tririgra.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in executing UI deliverables on design projects.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in product or service design.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience working with product managers and engineers.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a handson UI/Visual design role.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience with design tools such as Figma and Adobe XD.
  • Exposure to Agile processes (e.g., SAFe), enterprise design thinking, managing allocation and prioritization discussions, and the IBM Universal Experiences.
  • Portfolio of projects that demonstrate your skills as a UI/Visual Designer.
  • Expertlevel UI/Visual Design skills.
  • Expertlevel competency with common design tools, such as Figma, Adobe XD, etc.
  • Experience in defining and executing UX Metrics assessments.
  • Competency with standard presentation programs Powerpoint & Keynote.
  • Strong portfolio showing a breadth of complex technicallyoriented projects.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • A Bachelor's degree in humancomputer Interaction, Product or Service Design, Visual Design, or an equivalent combination of formal education in design.
