Description

As an Assistant Manager in food service, your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the establishment and delivering excellent customer service. You will work closely with the General Manager or Restaurant Manager to oversee various aspects of the food service operations.

Requirements

Supervision and Training:

Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training new staff members. Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to ensure that employees adhere to operational standards and deliver exceptional customer service.

Operational Management:

Assist in managing day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations. Monitor and adjust staffing levels to meet customer demand.

Customer Service:

Ensure that customers are greeted promptly and provided with a positive dining experience. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Staff Development:

Identify training needs and coordinate staff development initiatives. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to employees. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, motivation, and high productivity.

Quality Control:

Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. Monitor food preparation processes to ensure compliance with recipes, portion control, and food safety guidelines. Address any issues promptly and implement corrective measures as necessary.

Financial Management:

Assist in monitoring and controlling operational costs, such as food and labor expenses. Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies to maximize revenue and profitability. Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement.

Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

Assist in the procurement and management of food, beverage, and non-food supplies. Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and place orders to ensure adequate supply while minimizing waste and spoilage.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety. Conduct regular inspections and follow up on corrective actions as needed.
