Field Engineer - Electrical to join our team

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsibility for Parsons's Electrical Field Engineering for Qiddiya Infrastructure Delivery Partner (QIDP).

Responsible and accountable for ensuring that all work meets Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) requirements in coordination with with the works completed by other delivery partners.

QIC is providing strategic direction for all partners in the three-way partnership with other partners on a city-wide basis. Reports directly to the Field Engineering Manager.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews contractorsubmitted shop and asbuilt drawings, materials submittals, tiein procedures, project schedules, and work permits; and coordinates with the concerned departments for obtaining their approval and/or their comments.
  • Reviews contractors' quality assurance and quality control programs, inspection and test plans, installation, testing, precommissioning, and commissioning procedures. Witnesses all testing, precommissioning, commissioning, and startup activities to assure contractors' compliance with the approved plans and procedures.
  • Reviews contractors' invoices for correctness of installed quantities for the portion of the permanent works related to his discipline.
  • Liaise closely with Contractor's engineers to ensure that permanent works are properly coordinated with other disciplines.
  • Perform / Participate in Safety inspections and coordinates with RC and contractor's Safety team to address safety observations and noncompliances.
  • Witnesses contractors' Requests for Inspections (RFIs) to ensure that the permanent works are constructed according to the contract, applicable codes, standards, approved drawings, materials and specifications.
  • Organizes, coordinates, and conducts in conjunction with the concerned departments Initial Acceptance Inspections (IAIs) and reinspections of the completed permanent works, until all deficiencies are corrected and signed off.
  • Arranges meetings between the contractor and concerned departments to resolve interfacing problems during construction. Attends biweekly meetings between the client construction team and the Contractor.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is required, with minimum 4 years' experience in large construction projects, specifically strong electrical experience across citywide programs.
  • Advantageous to have experience of significant thirdparty stakeholder management, including statutory authorities in obtaining consents, permits and permissions.
  • Safety Qualification / Awareness Training.
  • Strong communication skills in English.

  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Proven experience of working within complex construction environment.
  • Ability to work in and lead teams. Ability to follow through. Ability to clearly deliver work instructions in a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization (dual reporting). Ability to interact with an influence seniorlevel management. Ability to consult, motivate, and negotiate effectively with client groups, coworkers, employees, vendors, and contractors.
  • Must function effectively under time constraints, schedule workload to meet deadlines, and have the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to manage and work in a team, deliver objectives and targets.
  • Strong Contractor Management skills.
