Job description:

  • Reviewing project standards, methodologies, and documents to assure the submitted construction plan, specifications, resources allocation, machinery and equipment are compatible and aligned with the overall project objectives and directing to the optimum construction methodology of the project.
  • Recommending solutions for complex issues, based on his previous background on Mega projects, proposing for Innovative, nonconventional ideas,
  • Reviewing and assessing the supply chain process from purchase to manufacturing to logistics to logistics and delivery, and installation at final location offshore, precommissioning and commissioning, of mega modules.
  • Reviewing design build documents, drawings, calculations, installation and operating manuals, method statements, specifications, and design books to ensure that it is in accordance with the client's specifications, specifications, and construction's best practices.
  • Reviewing contractor's submittals such as material, construction methodologies, subcontractor prequalification documents and others to ensure adherence to prevailing codes and standards. Including advanced construction and logistics techniques relevant to the project, (Maximizing onshore construction and installing at destination offshore, marine, wavebrakers, GBS, Piling, Jacking, skidding, heavy lifting, prefabrication and fabrication, pods, bundles, blocks, modules.)
  • Liaising with the client and subcontractors to ensure the construction works are delivered within the specified quality standards, on time and within budget.
  • Attending and overseeing witness acceptance, testing, and commissioning inspections.
  • Providing response to Requests for Information, Inspection, queries, concerns, and other constructionrelated processes to clarify, coordinate and control the contractors to adhere to the client's specifications and requirements.
  • Providing support to client and construction sites where design issues have arisen or construction resolutions are required.
  • Highlighting discrepancies and provide solutions to bring to a successful resolution of construction and manufacturing concerns.
  • Attending safety, site inspections, material mockups and other siterelated visits where construction inputs and expertise is required to enhance the design performance.

Profile:

  • Capable of operating as construction expert as well as team member to ensure the best available industry practices are implemented from concept to inception of the project at hand.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the design & construction of heavy mega projects, particularly Oil & Gas and hospitality, leisure with strong capability to innovate and provide nonconventional solutions to complex projects.
  • Proven experience working to tight deadlines within a changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent judgment, assertiveness, and diplomatic skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing conflict in highpressure situations.
  • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in technical report writing as well as oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional level in using MS Office Suite is a must.
  • GCC experience
