JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor (PC) under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia.

We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

For such maintenance and training, this role is responsible to carry out egress/armament maintenance, repairs and modifications on Tornado Aircraft.

May be required to provide support to the RSAF away from TMSC.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs major and minor Aircraft egress/armament repairs, modifications and TCTOs on Tornado aircraft.

Is responsible for the quality and completeness of the work carried out, or signs for as having been carried out, on an aircraft or aircraft component.

Works and complies within the requirements of the TMSC Quality System and RSAF Technical Orders.

Completes TMSC forms, appropriate aircraft forms, records and maintenance documentation.

Ensures maximum effort is made to safeguard the programme timescales in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.

Provides on-the-job and theory training.

Deputises, if required, for the supervisor.

Ensures their authorisations are current for the task in hand.

Highlight to their immediate supervisor areas of inexperience or training requirements, for themselves and others.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

Essential:

Qualifications:
National civilian / military equivalent recognised aircraft maintenance traineeship / apprenticeship

Completion of Tornado Egress/Armament Maintenance course and Explosive handling course.

Have extensive post qualification practical aircraft maintenance experience OR comprehensive experience in repair and modification on fast jets.

Must hold a current driving licence

Computer literate with an understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable:

A sound understanding of the RSAF series and supporting technical publications applicable to their work area

An understanding of the RSAF Operation and working practices

Working knowledge of Q-pulse, DMS and an understanding of M&CA processes.
