  • Experience in the GCC or Saudi Arabia is highly preferred
  • Must have worked for a leading project house on oil and gas projects (not petrochem)
  • Design, construction and project management experience (not technical operations, maintenance etc)

Key Responsibility:

  • Negotiate agreements and change orders with design and execution contractors.
  • Responsible for project development: engineering studies, licensors selection, technical bid reviews, preliminary engineering, detail design, materials procurement, construction, precommissioning, handover, commissioning, startup, and close out.
  • Review weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and schedule. Attend project meetings e.g. progress, stakeholders, design review, value improvement, etc.
  • Review of project schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned project progress and challenge below par performance of the contractor.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • PMP, PgMP or equivalent certification
  • Twenty years' experience in project management field related to refining and petrochemical industries with a specialty in Petrochemicals
  • Including Seven (7) years of experience as a manager or director of projects in design, construction, precommissioning, commissioning, startup, and operation with values ranging from $500MM to $billion.
  • Engineering Design & Construction phase experience.
