IT Delivery Manager


As an IT Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of IT projects within our organization.

You will lead cross-functional teams comprising of developers, engineers, testers, and other IT professionals to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality solutions.

Your primary focus will be on coordinating project activities, managing resources, tracking progress, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery, from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to project management best practices, methodologies, and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.
  • Build and manage high-performing project teams, including resource allocation, task assignment, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource requirements, ensuring realistic expectations are set and communicated.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and proactively implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, operations, and business analysts, to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and provide accurate cost forecasts to support financial planning and reporting.
  • Facilitate project meetings, including kick-off meetings, status updates, and stakeholder reviews, ensuring that decisions are documented and actions are tracked.
  • Ensure the quality of project deliverables through effective quality assurance activities such as testing, code reviews, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Provide regular project status updates and reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and dependencies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience working as an IT Delivery Manager or similar role, involving the successful delivery of complex IT projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or PRINCE2.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices in software engineering, quality assurance, and delivery management.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Trello.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project updates, risks, and issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions to overcome project challenges.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure and related technologies, including networks, servers, security, and cloud platforms, is desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, Agile, or ITIL are a plus.
