JOB SUMMARY:


As a Pediatric Surgery Assitant Consultant for a top-tier hospital in Saudi Arabia, you will be responsible for providing high-quality surgical care to children in need.

You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of surgical conditions affecting infants, children, and adolescents.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate advanced clinical skills in Pediatric surgery.
  • Manage complex medical cases independently.
  • Provide leadership in delivering highquality patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and residents.
  • Contribute to the training and development of medical teams.
  • Collaborate closely with consultants and specialists in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Offer expert consultations on challenging medical cases.
  • Engage in clinical research activities.
  • Contribute to academic programs, teaching, and training initiatives.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Implement and adhere to evidencebased medical practices.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities within the medical department.
  • Contribute to decisionmaking processes related to patient care and departmental policies.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and stay abreast of advancements in the medical field.
  • Attend conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Advocate for patient rights and welfare.
  • Ensure a patientcentered approach in medical care.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
  • Lead and participate in emergency medical responses.
  • Provide expertise in critical and urgent medical situations.***
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
  • Completion of required period of training in Pediatric surgery and/or Subspecialty
  • Saudi Arab or American /European Board Certification or equivalent.
  • Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for Assitant consultant as required
  • A certificate recognized by the Saudi Commission is a must
  • Dataflow is a must.

Professional Experience
- +2 years experience after certification.

  • A registered member of the Saudi Board Council is preferable

Language

  • Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
