A leading international consultancy is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head of Project Controls to join their team in Riyadh.

As Head of Project Controls, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the project management processes and controls for thier diverse portfolio of projects in the region, primarly aviation projects.

With a minimum of 18 years of relevant experience, you will bring valuable expertise in project controls, cost management, scheduling, risk analysis, and contract administration.

Your leadership and strategic vision will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Project Controls Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive project controls strategy for our consultancy, aligned with industry best practices and tailored to the specific needs of each project. Provide guidance and leadership in establishing standardized procedures and processes.
  • Cost Management: Oversee the cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting processes for multiple projects. Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial performance, identifying potential costsaving opportunities and advising on effective resource allocation.
  • Schedule Management: Lead the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring they are realistic, achievable, and aligned with project milestones and objectives. Monitor progress, identify schedule risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Risk Analysis and Mitigation: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for ongoing and upcoming projects. Collaborate with project teams to develop risk mitigation plans and monitor their implementation to minimize potential disruptions.
  • Contract Administration: Provide expertise in contract management and administration, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and resolving any disputes or issues that may arise.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on project performance, highlighting key metrics, progress, and potential areas of concern. Present reports to senior management and stakeholders, offering datadriven insights and recommendations.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of project controls professionals, fostering a collaborative and resultsdriven work environment. Provide guidance, training, and support to enhance team members' skills and capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to foster effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in project controls processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance overall project performance and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 18 years of progressive experience in project controls, including cost management, scheduling, and risk analysis, preferably within an international consultancy or similar environment.
  • Experience working in Aviation and airports
- must be able to start as soon as possible

  • Strong understanding of project management principles and practices, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of local and international construction regulations, codes, and industry standards.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing highperforming project controls teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex data
