General Accountabilities:

Technical Duties &Responsibilities:

FP&A Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Key contributor into the consolidated group budgeting process inconjunction with FP&A HOD, the Finance Director, CFO and CEO.
  • Ownership of budgeting process for respective departments and projects.
  • Reporting and explaining budget decisions to key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and assist in preparation of annual budget instructions.
  • Delivery of timely Month End review and results to Heads of Departments.
  • Close-out of project financials, reporting and dash boarding for internalstakeholders (HODs) and Clients.
  • Responsibility for reviewing POs in line with approved budgets, and timelyreview of invoices in accordance with contractual payment schedules.
  • Review of financial content in vendor contracts.
  • Correspondence with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders within thewider MDLBEAST business as and when required.
  • Input into Purchase to Pay procedural improvements.
  • Support the AP team in management of cashflow.
  • Support the AP team in payroll review and reporting.
  • Create and monitor reporting metrics and manage data flows to captureand report back to the business (department HODs).
  • Analyse the company work in progress projects and recommendation forcapitalisation, where needed.

Education & Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
  • Professional accounting qualifications from recognised academic instituteswould be advantageous but not essential.

Key Competencies:

Essential:

  • Economics and Accounting:
    Knowledge of economics and accounting principles and practices would bebeneficial.
  • Ability to build analysis and reporting of financial data.

Detail Oriented:

  • Paying attention to the details and giving conscious effort to understandcauses instead of just the effects.

Skilled:
Accounting Skills:

  • The knowledge necessary to handle recording accounting transactions, aswell as strong understanding of applicable accounting regulations.

Computer Knowledge:

  • The ability to use computers and any related technology efficiently, with arange of skills covering levels from elementary use to reporting,documentation and problem solving.
  • Working knowledge of Google Sheetswould be advantageous but not essential. Demonstrable knowledge of ERPsystems highly advantageous.

Communication Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders andthe ability to respond to member needs (strategically and tactfully) as wellas exercise leadership and diplomacy amongst diverse perspectives andpriorities.

Reporting & Monitoring:

  • Knowledge of the work process, timelines, requirements, parties involvedto communicate and dissemination technical or methods. This includesalternative ways to inform via written communication or oral information.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Finance Business partner mindset.
  • Ability to create new procedures, make decisions, work both autonomouslyand within teams as necessary, and take ownership of duties.
  • 3+ years in Events or Music Industry preferred
