With mínimal supervision, independently performs all aspects of field engineering assignments including development of plans, schedules, contracts, procedures, and construction methods for an assigned project, or a designated area of a large project.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers and inspectors in varying fields of expertise (civil, mechanical, electrical)

  • Monitoring and coordinating all contractors' activities for assigned area of Proejct.
  • Developing discipline construction schedules and monitoring progress. Providing schedule and progress appraisal report to the Construction Manager Monitoring material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline.
  • Ensuring that materials received meet specifications and established standards of quality.
  • Maintaining firstlevel quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all work within their discipline is in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Supervising the construction engineering work and provide technical expertise for one or more of the construction engineering disciplines, as well as survey personnel.
  • Ensuring that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Collaborating with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees
  • Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site specific safety procedures and industry standards
  • Establishing and maintaining liaison with the discipline design engineering staff.
  • Reviewing and interpreting discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work
  • Initiating and maintaining records, backcharge procedures, progress reports, etc., as required
  • Organizing the data for the final project turnover and report
  • Interfaces with the client and upperlevel management

Profile:

  • Degree in engineering or constructionrelated field 10 years post graduating experience on major civil projects, Infrastructure, or related project experienceStrong track record in managing a multidisciplinary team of engineers
  • Ability to multitask and effectively problemsolve
  • Good insight and background with regard to materials testing with an emphasis on quality, safety and adherence (i.e. soil, concrete, grout, dewatering, load testing, etc.) materials delivery, staging, scheduling, coordination, etc
