ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

This National Guard Hospital was opened in Dammam on October 14th, 2002. Itisinternationally accreditedby JCIA. The hospital accommodates 125 beds, an Intensive Care Unit of 6 beds, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of 5 beds, 4 Operation Rooms, and 4 Delivery Rooms. Outpatient clinics cater for 7000 patients monthly and the hospital receives 4000 emergency patients per month.

Specialized clinics in the following disciplines:

General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Family Medicine, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, Endocrinology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Pulmonary, and Neurology.

All clinics are equipped with the latest equipment and advanced technology.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

If you wish to apply for this position, you will require the following to qualify as a consultant with this institution, and as per the licensing authorities:

·2 years Consultant experience in a Western hospital

·2 years post specialist qualification experience from the following countries:

UK – CCT

USA – American Board

Canada – Canadian Fellowship

Ireland – CSD/CSCST

Australia & New Zealand (Fellowship)

France – DES/DESC

Other European countries according to the qualification equivalence tables of the SCFHS.

Salary: To be advised

Bonus: 1⁄2 Months' salary – End of contract

Contract duration: 1- or 2-years renewable

Contract status: Family – Spouse and 3 children

Baggage allowance: 200 SAR per person

Vacation: 51 days total – including local holidays

Study leave: 7 paid days CME leave with travel allowance

Working hours: 42.5 hours/5-day week

On call: As required within specialty

Start date: By agreement

·Education allowance for up to 3 school age children from year 1 to year 9 of SR 23,000 per child per year in or outside of Saudi Arabia.

Those in years 10,11,12 receive an additional SR 5,000 per year.
