The Job Opportunity

HSE Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that the project's operation and maintenance activities are conducted safely and sustainably.

By conducting risk assessments, developing HSE procedures, ensuring compliance, providing training, and continually improving the HSE program, the HSE Engineer helps to ensure that the project is successful and delivers value to the customer while minimizing its impact on the environment and promoting the health and safety of the project team and the public.

The key purpose

To ensure that the project's operation and maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with the relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.

The HSE Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive HSE program that covers all aspects of the project, including operation and maintenance activities, inventory management, and coding of the fleet of vehicles using the automated system.

Key accountabilities
Study and develop HSE standards for engineering projects and monitor and analyse the implementation process.

Prepare and develop the principles, rules and procedures for occupational safety and health at the workplace, identify occupational hazards in the workplace and procedures for avoiding them, provide supplies and tools of occupational safety and health and monitor their use.

Prepare documents and reports specialized in work outcomes.
identify, assess, and manage risks related to health, safety, and the environment in the context of the project.
Ensure that the project complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
Responsible for managing incidents related to health, safety, and the environment that occur during the project.

Provide training and awareness activities related to health, safety, and the environment to project stakeholders, including contractors, employees, and other relevant parties.

Responsible for managing the environmental impacts of the project, ensuring that appropriate measures are in place to prevent or mitigate adverse impacts.

Responsible for developing and implementing emergency response plans for health, safety, and environmental incidents that may occur during the project.

Evaluate and improve the health, safety, and environmental performance of the project, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

7 years minimum work experience in similar role

Conduct a risk assessment of the project activities to identify potential hazards and risks to health, safety, and the environment.

Develop HSE procedures that outline the steps that the project team should take to minimize or eliminate the risks identified during the risk assessment.

Ensure that the project team is in compliance with the relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards by conducting regular inspections and audits.

Provide training to the project team on the HSE procedures and regulations that they need to follow.

Evaluate the effectiveness of the HSE program and make improvements to it as needed to ensure that the project's operation and maintenance activities are conducted safely and sustainably.
