Nursery Production Operative

We are seeking a Nursery production operative for a well-established Nursery in Kildare. This person will form an integral part of the Nursery team and will carry out duties associated with the production of all stock grown in the nursery. This role is arising due to expansion and growth within the company. All plants are produced to an extremely high standard and work of a high standard is expected.

The person required for this role should ideally have some horticultural qualification (e.g. QQI level 5) and some experience working in a horticultural environment, ideally in a nursery.

This is an excellent opportunity for a full-time nursery worker, there will be all year round work available.

Requirements:

  • Ideally a qualification in Horticulture or a related area.
  • Good interest in plants and gardening
  • Access to a car or transport will likely be required due to location, but all work will be on site
  • Be willing and able to work outdoors in all weather
  • Be a reliable, conscientious hard-working person

Responsibilities:

  • Be a crucial all year-round member of the production team
  • To be able to work under instruction and on your own initiative
  • Help ensure that production targets are met
  • Be willing to undergo training where necessary
  • Be reliable and punctual in attendance at work
