Description

  • Implement and uphold data governance and security protocols;
  • Perform data extraction and transformation;
  • Create Qlik data models;
  • Generate information and insights from data sets and identify trends and patterns;
  • Identify and define BI process improvement opportunities;
  • Provide maintenance of the BI environment;
  • Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleaning;
  • Implement strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality;
  • Support initiatives for data integrity and normalisation;
  • Create complex queries on large datasets for manipulation;
  • Lead data analysis projects from start to finish, including scoping, planning, execution, and delivering results to stakeholders;
  • Develop complex reports in Qlik that summarises key findings and insights;
  • Responsible for documenting solutions;
  • Coach and mentor colleagues;
  • Provide training and support to Management on how to interpret and utilise data reports and dashboards;
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements;
  • Gather input from stakeholders to ensure the data solutions provided meet their needs;
  • Translate complex data analysis into actionable business insights that stakeholders can easily understand and act upon.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of MS SQL Database T-SQL;
  • An understanding of the ELT Framework, which includes an understanding of data extraction and transformation;
  • Extensive knowledge of data cleaning, validation, and transformation techniques;
  • Qlik modeling;
  • Grade 12 or Equivalent;
  • BCom Information Technology Essential;
  • Relevant BI Certification Essential;
  • Minimum of 6 years' BI experience;
  • Qlikview/Qliksense experience Essential;
  • Nprinting experience Advantageous;
  • Aviation experience Advantageous.
