Title: Principal Civil Engineer

Overview: Seeking a skilled professional with expertise in civil projects, from initial concepts to detailed designs for medium to large-scale projects. Must possess in-depth knowledge of engineering practices, economic principles, international standards, codes, and procedures. A graduate degree in civil engineering and a minimum of 15 years' experience in Oil & Gas, Hydrocarbons, and Infrastructure sectors are required. Strong communication skills are a must.

Reporting To: Department Management and Project Management

Responsibilities:

  • Study, design, and specify transportation systems, drainage, underground utilities, hydrology/hydraulics, water treatment, wastewater collection, and water resources
  • Design underground oily water and stormwater systems
  • Prepare grading and paving drawings with cut and fill quantities
  • Utilize software such as Civil 3D, Sewer Gems, AutoCAD, MicroStation
  • Provide technical guidance to junior staff
  • Scope projects and develop civil deliverables
  • Offer technical leadership to project teams
  • Ensure timely and within-budget project delivery
  • Conduct technical presentations to Clients and representatives

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of engineering and civil principles
  • Familiarity with relevant engineering standards and procedures
  • Ability to manage projects effectively and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities
