Position Summary:

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Manager – Risk management to join our team to support our client. The Manager – Risk Management will be responsible for identifying potential risks, developing strategies to minimize their impact, and ensuring that risk management processes are implemented effectively throughout various projects lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification of potential risks associated with various assigned projects, including but not limited to financial, technical, environmental, regulatory, and operational risks.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, workshops to evaluate the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks on project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Develop risk mitigation plans and strategies to minimize the impact of identified risks on the project; Collaborate with project teams to implement risk mitigation measures effectively.
  • Establish robust processes for monitoring and tracking identified risks throughout the project lifecycle; Generate regular risk reports for project stakeholders, highlighting key risks, mitigation efforts, and any emerging threats.
  • Engage with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, and other relevant parties, to communicate risk management strategies and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Ensure that risk management processes comply with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements; Conduct periodic reviews to assess the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and recommend adjustments as necessary.
  • Monitor the evolving risk landscape throughout the project lifecycle and adjust risk management strategies accordingly
  • Provide training and guidance to project team members on risk management principles, tools, and techniques; Foster a culture of risk awareness and accountability within the project team.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management processes; Identify lessons learned from past projects and apply them to optimize risk management strategies.
  • Maintain and update risk register to monitor all potential risks and their mitigation.
  • Properly escalates risks and issues to involve the appropriate stakeholders timely.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in risk management, with a proven track record of leadership and successful project delivery on large-scale projects and a minimum of 5yrs experience in GCC (KSA experience ideally)
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with the capability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
