We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a **Demand Planning Specialist** focusing on MENA (Middle East, North Africa) region with a flexible location.

THE POSITION

You will be responsible for managing a group of countries within the Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA) region. Your role will involve coordinating, analyzing, and submitting the monthly Demand Forecast for all the products supplied to your assigned countries. The Demand Planning EEMEA team oversees demand management for 19 countries. Reporting directly to the Demand Planning Manager EEMEA, based in Dubai.

This role entails **collaboration across different functions** and requires you to lead forecast discussions for the countries in your portfolio, supporting the Commercial unit in achieving our business objectives.

We are a **diverse and global team** within the Demand Management & Fulfillment EEMEA department, managing operations in Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa from our Amsterdam office.

You will collaborate with various departments such as Demand Fulfillment, local Commercial teams, Customer Service, and Finance, some of which are located in different countries across the region. Our team comprises a **mix of talented individuals**, fostering an environment conducive to **innovative thinking** and cross-functional cooperation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enhance and maintain forecast accuracy for your region consistently, sharing best practices with team members to improve accuracy across the entire region.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Commercial and/or customers at regional and/or market levels.
  • Lead monthly Market Demand Review meetings (pre-S&OP) to update in-market and to-market forecasts.
  • Conduct and lead monthly S&OP meetings, ensure accurate minutes are taken, and follow-up actions are implemented.
  • Collaborate on developing and presenting sales projections in conjunction with Demand Fulfillment representatives.
  • Support the monthly Integrated Business Planning process (IBP) to establish a 36-month consensus plan in the market, working closely with Commercial and Finance teams.
  • Gather and analyze business insights from key market stakeholders over a 36-month period.
  • Identify discrepancies between financial plans and demand plans and take appropriate actions.
  • Maintain metric integrity to deliver value to customers.
  • Manage Business Value Segmentation and other forecasting parameters.
  • Collaborate with Business Managers and Customer Service to minimize waste.
  • Proactively address escalated supply issues by effectively coordinating and communicating with relevant teams such as supply planning, global transportation, manufacturing sites, regulatory affairs, local commercial teams, and customers.
  • Engage in monthly dialogues with local Commercial, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Demand Fulfillment, and Supply Planners to meet service level targets with the correct inventory strategy.
  • Support demand-related activities for product launches, new product introductions/deletions governance.
  • Standardize and streamline demand planning processes.
  • Act as a backup for other demand planners as necessary, including the team manager.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field. A Master of Science or MBA is a plus.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP and/or Six Sigma certification is beneficial.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in demand planning, preferably in a pharmaceutical setting.
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management; demonstrated ability to establish, cultivate, and nurture effective relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Highly organized individual with a customer-centric, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in English (both written and verbal) and adept in delivering impactful presentations to senior management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel. Knowledge of Power BI is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with planning ERP systems, preferably experience with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Capable of thriving in a high-pressure environment and sustaining productivity.
  • A team player who can also work independently.
  • Adaptability and the ability to function effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
