Finance Accountant

As the Financial Accountant you will be reporting to the Financial Manager, this role will be primarily responsible for the General Ledger Maintenance, Year-end Audits, Process and Reconciliation of Bank accounts, Accounts Payable function. The role will support the finance department in preparing the monthly management accounts whilst complying with our financial policies and procedures.
Responsibilities will include:
- Responsible to ensure monthly intercompany loan accounts are reconciled with group entities
- Manage the full accounting cycle including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
- Maintain Balance sheet reconciliation
- Process and reconcile Bank Accounts, Fleet Cards and Credit Cards
- Ensure all taxation and statutory returns are filed online and or are submitted to the relevant authorities by deadline dates
- Assist with month-end process
- Perform monthly reviews of P&L statement, including sales, rebates and all cost of sales transactions
- Ensure all direct/indirect purchase invoices are coded correctly
- Post & allocate PL invoices against relevant jobs/purchase orders, raising discrepancies with the Operations Team for investigation
- Preparation of payment runs. Check the payment run for accuracy and send the remittances to the suppliers
- Assist in improving internal controls
