Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination
- Support the development of project plans, including basic timelines and resource estimates.
- Assist in coordinating logistics activities and communicating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to the logistics manager and other stakeholders.
Process Improvement
- Help identify areas for improvement in logistics processes and contribute to implementing standard operating procedures SOPs.
- Participate in regular process reviews and suggest ideas to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management
- Aid in monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with the procurement team to ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Assist in tracking and resolving inventory discrepancies and reporting issues to the logistics manager.
Communication and Collaboration
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, addressing queries and concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with the logistics team and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
Data Entry and Analysis
- Assist in collecting and entering logistics data, using software tools to track shipments and analyze inventory levels.
- Help prepare basic reports and summaries for project performance and logistics operations.
Documentation and Compliance
- Support the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in ensuring that logistics operations comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Risk Identification
- Assist in identifying potential risks and challenges in logistics projects and support the development of mitigation plans.
- Contribute to risk assessments and help implement basic risk management strategies.
Training and Development Support
- Participate in training sessions and assist in training logistics team members on new processes and systems.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement within the logistics team.
Knowledge, Education, Skills & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and NetSuite.
- Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
