Description

Site Visits and Inspections

  • Complete allocated C of A/ATF inspection applications according to approved procedure
  • Provide clients with necessary feedback during task completion
  • Review AW records of TC and NTCA aircraft as per procedure for C of A, ATF, and RLA Renewal process
  • Address industry stakeholder issues in an exemplary manner
  • Utilize the EBS system for task completion as assigned by M: AR &I
  • Enforcement Grounding actions carried out as approved by Manager Aircraft Inspection & Registration
  • Enforcement actions suggested to the Enforcement Department as directed by M: ARI
  • Analyze and investigate significant defects found in aircraft and determine necessary corrective actions if airworthiness is compromised and address any trends as needed
  • Monitor compliance with ADs and/or related SBs issued by manufacturers, both foreign and domestic, to ensure air operator's adherence to established procedures for maintaining aeronautical product airworthiness and addressing service difficulties
  • Investigate potential violations of airworthiness regulations and take enforcement action when required
  • Participate in aircraft review board activities

Reports

  • Submit reports with recommendations from safety audits and inspections
  • Research, develop, and propose specific standards for aircraft certification, airworthiness, and maintenance
  • Issue special flight permits

Communication and Safety Promotion

  • Address industry stakeholder issues in an exemplary manner
  • Provide industry feedback to the Authority
  • Emphasize safety prerequisites and procedures to industry stakeholders

Proposal and Revision of Standards

  • Proactively research, develop, and propose specific standards for airworthiness and aircraft maintenance

EDUCATION

Minimum

  • Grade 12
  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License in Avionics

Ideal

  • National Technical Diploma
  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer AME License

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years in Aircraft Airworthiness or Aviation Regulatory environment or Civil/Military Aviation involvement
