You Bring:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience within the infrastructure field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of domain experience and a broad range of technical exposure e.g.: Network, Server, Systems Admin or Engineer.
  • Experience with designing and leading the solutions design for the team.
  • Experience understanding a holistic environment From on prem, virtual and cloud servers, to networks, to firewalls etc and understanding how all the pieces of the puzzle fit together.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and business stakeholders, to understand and align technology solutions with business goals.
  • Evaluate and recommend the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance business processes and drive innovation.
  • Implement infrastructure as code IaC principles to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure.
  • Design and implement strategies for application integration to enable seamless data flow between different systems and platforms.
  • Provide clear and comprehensive documentation for system architectures, processes, information security, application integration, and automation to facilitate knowledge sharing and training for team members.
  • Develop technical solutions that conform both to business requirements and technology infrastructure standards.
  • Contribute expertise and advice to influence discussions and decision-making within Group Technology and respond to internal client requests.
  • Keep abreast of the latest changes and trends in IT architecture to provide insights and recommendations to the business regarding optimisation, improvements or adoption of new tools and technologies.

Team management:

  • Ensures the team is appropriately resourced and members are equipped with the requisite skill required for both current and future projects.
  • Support and/or develop a training and career development plan for each team member.
  • Collaboratively works with team members to set performance goals and measures.
  • Conducts regular performance discussions with the team to facilitate a culture of growth.
  • Facilitates mentoring and coaching as required.
  • Oversees all aspects of the team by facilitating and resolving issues through effective problem solving and communication skills.
  • Maintain a current and future skill matrix for the team.
  • Create a culture for teams that are aligned to the platforms and BET values.
  • Manage Team Members from a disciplinary perspective, ensuring HR is adequately informed of any disciplinary matters.
  • Assist with investigations and the management of disciplinary hearings as needed.
  • Manage the team's time and attendance, ensuring that reports are updated, and prompt feedback is provided to the Time and Attendance team.
