You as a Project Manager will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure successful outcomes, responsible for overseeing all aspects of a project, including scope, budget, timeline, resources, and stakeholder management, serves as the central point of contact and is accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to oversee the construction of a new HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) factory, and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, from initiation to completion, ensuring that the factory is built to the highest standards, within the allocated budget and timeline. Additionally, will also be responsible for managing ongoing projects at the factory once construction is complete.

Your responsibilities

Developing a comprehensive project plan, including scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation and collaborate with stakeholders, consultants, architects, and contractors to ensure project objectives and monitoring project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.Overseeing the construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations, coordinating and managing contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality construction and conducting regular site visits and inspections to monitoring progress, identifying issues, and addressing them promptly.Developing and managing the project budget, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost control throughout the construction phase, reviewing, and approving invoices, changing orders, and payment requests from contractors and vendors and identifying cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize project costs.Identifying the resource requirements for the project, including labor, equipment, and materials, coordinating with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of required resources, and managing and allocate resources efficiently to meet project milestones and objectives.Establishing effective communication channels with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and potential risks, conducting regular meetings and presentations to keep stakeholders informed and address any concerns or issues and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their satisfaction with the project outcomes.Developing and implementing quality control measures to ensure that construction activities meet industry standards and specifications, conducting inspections and tests to verify compliance with quality requirements and addressing any non-conformances and proactively resolve quality issues.Managing changes in project scope, timelines, or budget, assessing their impact, and making necessary adjustments, facilitating effective communication and collaboration between stakeholders to ensure smooth change implementation and documenting and track all changes, ensuring proper documentation and approvals are in place.Once the factory construction is complete, transition to managing ongoing projects at the factory. Planning, executing, and monitoring the progress of concurrent projects, ensuring adherence to project objectives, timelines, and budgets and leading project teams, providing guidance, supporting, and resolving any project-related issues.Tracking project progress and performance against the project plan and key performance indicators. Conducting regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders and identifying deviations from the project plan and implementing corrective actions as necessary, managing project budgets, track expenditures, and ensuring cost control and addressing project issues, risks, and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.Maintaining project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports. Preparing regular project status reports for stakeholders and management and documenting lessons learned and best practices for future projects.Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background

A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is required.Minimum 10 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in construction, preferably in the HVDC or electrical industry and strong knowledge of construction project management principles, techniques, and best practices.Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and PMP certification or other relevant certifications would be an advantage.Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously and proficiency in project management software and tools.Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
