Lead Strategic Planning, Financial Control, Budgeting and Reporting, Capex and Opex Management, and Corporate Finance

Key Accountabilities & Activities

Accountabilities & Activities:

  • Strategic Planning:
  • Lead the development and execution of the financial and strategic plans for THE LINE.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define THE LINE long-term vision and strategic goals.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trends assessment to identify opportunities and threats for the business.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
  • Financial Control and Budgeting:
  • Oversee financial control processes, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for various projects within THE LINE ecosystem, including THE SPINE, Airports plus others
  • Implement robust financial reporting systems to provide accurate and timely financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Capital and Operating Expenditure Management:
  • Track and analyze capex and opex spending, identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to assess financial viability and ROI of potential projects and initiatives.
  • Corporate Finance:
  • Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and financial risk management strategies.
  • Support the executive team in evaluating financial performance and making strategic decisions.
  • Financial Modeling and Analysis:
  • Create and maintain financial models to assess the financial impact of different scenarios and opportunities.
  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the profitability and feasibility of new business ventures and partnerships.
  • Venture Investments:
  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities and partnerships in the mobility industry, conducting due diligence and financial assessments.
  • Develop investment strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives and risk appetite.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders, providing financial insights, and addressing inquiries.
  • Build strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, and potential partners.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess financial risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement appropriate controls.
  • Monitor and manage insurance coverage to protect the company against potential losses.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial risk management.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.

Background, Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience (at least 15 years) in finance, corporate finance, investment analysis, or related roles in the construction industry.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a track record of making data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, and managing large-scale capital projects.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing financial strategies to support business growth.
  • Knowledge of construction trends.
  • Previous experience in strategic planning, business development, or related roles is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • A strategic mindset with a passion for innovation.
  • Self-starting, ability to work in complex environment, multitasking and meet competing deadlines
  • Ability to present to business and government at the highest level
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA).
  • Fluency in English
