Role Purpose

Project Management Specialist is to oversee, optimize, and drive successful project outcomes by establishing effective project management practices, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, and leading a team to deliver projects efficiently and within scope.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

  • Establish and maintain project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
  • Provide oversight and governance for the project portfolio aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project management professionals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and priorities.
  • Optimize resource allocation across projects for efficient and timely delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes.
  • Develop and implement project management policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to monitor project performance and compliance.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and learning within the PMO.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates.
  • Analyze resource needs and work with relevant teams to address staffing requirements.
  • Evaluate existing project management methodologies and tools for enhancements.
  • Lead change management initiatives and process improvements.
  • Manage corporate performance reports and track strategic and operational KPIs.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource planning.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks.
  • Facilitate steering committee meetings to provide executive management updates

Background, Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Proficient in project management methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
  • Strong command of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to address project challenges.
  • Strategic thinking to align project objectives with organizational goals.
  • Change management expertise to implement new methodologies and drive organizational change.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, Engineering,
  • Master's degree – Business Administration (MBA)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) - Mandatory
  • Certified associate in project management (CAPM) - not mandatory
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) - not mandatory
