Wood is looking for a Principal Architectural Designer to join our team in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Execute assigned scopes of work with little supervision from the Lead Engineer.
2. Provide discipline drafting expertise to the team and to the business.
3. Review as-built drawings and assist with the collection of design information required.
4. Provide guidance to Designers and CADD operators.
5. Go for site visits and verify site conditions and markup drawings / perform as-built activities.
6. Liaise with project / lead engineers at all levels.
7. Actively participate in Competency and Training.
8. Participate in audit and incident investigations as required.
9. Manage and direct resources efficiently and effectively.
10. Support and supervise tasks delegated to direct reports / respective team.
11. Provide strong leadership in promoting, demonstrating and being a role model in accordance with company core values and ethics policy.
12. Monitor team's compliance with competence standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. 15 years of experience.
2. 2 years Engineering Diploma or equivalent.
3. Must have working knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
4. Extensive experience in Architectural design. Must have handled the design of complex projects for Saudi Aramco and SABIC.
5. Must have extensive experience with RC, Saudi Aramco, SABIC & international standards.
6. Experience in the supervision of designers and CADD operators.
7. Experience in design, detail drafting, and preparation of material take-offs.
8. Knowledge of engineering practices, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
9. Experience with development, enhancement, and maintenance of 3D graphic visual display and modelling work.
