Role Profile:
The HSE Manager will provide critical support to operations across Saudi Arabia, overseeing the health and safety aspects of AtkinsRéalis' business operations in this region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance, technical expertise, and oversight for all company activities in KSA.
- Promote and implement a just HSE culture within the business in KSA.
- Collaborate with the logistics and operations teams to ensure adherence to health and safety requirements for company-provided accommodation in KSA.
- Support resident engineers and project managers in all HSE-related aspects.
- Assist with incident reporting in BlueSky according to BlueBook requirements, ensuring investigations are completed and lessons learned are shared.
- Support the implementation of BlueBook standards, regional requirements, and all aspects of the Global HSE Management System (GHSEMS).
- Serve as a central point of focus, supporting the operations and logistics team in implementing driving safety requirements.
- Conduct project and office HSE audits as required.
- Act as an ambassador for AtkinsRéalis values, promoting best practices.
- Provide expertise to ensure comprehensive HSE risk assessments are conducted for activities in KSA.
- Support senior operational management within KSA in conducting leadership tours and advising on HSE matters.
- Design and conduct HSE training programs to enhance employee awareness and adherence to AtkinsRéalis health and safety requirements.
- Support the Wellbeing Director in general health and wellbeing initiatives in KSA, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in HSE practices and processes, fostering a proactive safety culture.
- Review hotels and other accommodations in KSA to ensure compliance with basic HSE requirements.
Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with operational management within the business in KSA to promote core HSE values through various forums.
- Collaborate closely with regulatory authorities, municipalities, and ministries to promote AtkinsRéalis as an industry leader in Health, Safety, and Environment.
- Build strong relationships with client project management and HSE management staff in KSA.
Qualifications:
At least 15 years of experience in Health and Safety, with a strong background in the Engineering/Construction industry.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), NEBOSH, and ISO preferred.
Ideally, experience in District Cooling.
