The Finance Planning Analyst will be responsible for supporting end-to-end reporting, tracking, and monitoring of SG&A spend. This includes monthly tracking of Advertising & Promotion (A&P) /Scientific Engagement (SE) spend activity by category, aligning with business and medical functions on YTD/YTG spend, and gap/phasing analysis. The role will involve working closely with the Close & Control (C&C) HUB during the ME closing and supporting the FBP in managing sign-off commentaries with the Planning HUB.

The role will also support the FBP during the monthly close and control activities, primarily related to capturing accurate SG&A by ensuring strong alignment with the C&C HUB. This will ensure the completeness of accruals and the accuracy of numbers with respect to spending allocation across business units.

Additionally, the Finance Planning Analyst will support the Senior Finance Business Partner (SFP) during planning cycles to ensure accurate submission of financial plans, updates, forecasts, and all ancillary activities associated with the planning exercise. The role will involve close collaboration with the commercial team in developing financial plans and updates.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting and Analysis:

  1. Supervising close and control activities on profit and loss, monitoring budget vs actual P&L and submitting commentaries to regional teams.
  2. Providing management visibility on performance and spending by providing monthly and ad-hoc financial reports per requirement.
  3. Process improvement initiatives on all reporting and systems automation to minimize manual work and efficient reporting that supports decision-making.

Business Partnering:

  1. Carrying out all ancillary planning activities, including but not limited to plan phasing (calendarization), exchange and cost flips, submission of plans in the financial planning system, and preparation of GEM offline templates and presentations.
  2. Support Senior finance partner (SFP) in the Core commercial cycle (CCC) by preparing a summary for movements vs last cycles for SFP & FD, ensuring active participation of finance by bringing in-stock position, YTD / YTG growth, capturing market dynamics for competitive analysis, etc.
  3. Tracking actual Gross-to-Net (G2N) reflections with focus analysis of variance vs. plan and forecast (CCC).
  4. Reviewing SG&A with the aim of making recommendations for cost savings.
  5. Supporting management/business units in the provision of financials pertaining to business needs.
  6. Supporting and, at times, leading commercial initiatives to bring in operational efficiencies in SG&A.
  7. Be hands-on with analytical tools (Power BI, etc.) to support the core business team with data points and leads to action accordingly.

  1. Saudi National.
  2. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
  3. Preferred Finance qualification: SOCPA/CA/ACCA/CPA/CFA/CMA/CIMA
  4. 1-3 years of corporate finance and/or Big 4 experience required
  5. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  6. Written and spoken fluency in English
  7. The Candidate Must be Located in Jeddah
  8. Understanding of commercial operations, reporting, IFRS, auditing, FP&A and business partnering
