Job Description

Wood is looking for a talented Piping Designer to join our Piping/Pipeline Team in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role offers the opportunity to contribute expertise to a diverse range of Wood Projects.

Responsibilities

  1. Interest in oil and gas, hydrocarbon refinery, offshore, mining or infrastructure industries.
  2. Originate new and revise existing Piping/Pipeline engineering drawings.
  3. Revise and check engineering drawings against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
  4. Prepare complete bill of materials for all assigned drawings.
  5. Conduct and receive trainings related to job as required.
  6. Awareness and following of all drafting aspects such as correct use of symbols, layers and formats.
  7. Completion of work within allocated man-hours effectively and plan work to avoid slippage.
  8. Interfaces, coordinates and communicate effectively with the Project Lead and other team members.
  9. Go for site visits and verify site conditions and markup drawings/perform as-built activities.
  10. Manage deliverables submission with required quality checks and proper management of record.

Qualifications

  1. Diploma, Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Graduate / post-graduate level of understanding of Engineering Practices, Design Methods and Calculations.
  3. Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to their discipline of engineering.
  4. Demonstrates the application of theory in a practical context to develop engineered solutions.
  5. Good communication, reporting and presentation skills including the ability to converse in the English language.
  6. Strong organizational skills and provides attention to detail.
  7. Highly motivated and demonstrates personal initiative.
  8. Possesses integrity, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and is dependable.
  9. Team player that works well and collaborates with supervisors, subordinates, peers and clients.
  10. High level of awareness and commitment to safety in all aspects of personal daily activities.
