The noon ecosystem of services now includes marketplaces for food delivery, quick commerce, fintech, and fashion. noon is a work in progress; we're six years in, but only 5% done.

noon's mission: Ring every doorbell, every day.

We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to lead and grow the category in the UAE. This is a high-impact, high-pressure role with full P&L ownership, and we're seeking a candidate with the vision, skills, and drive to achieve exponential growth.

Key Responsibilities:

P&L Ownership:

  • Own and manage the category's profit and loss statement.
  • Develop strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share.

Category Growth:

  • Build and execute scalable strategies to grow the category.
  • Identify growth opportunities, analyze data trends, and act decisively to meet targets.

Vendor and Brand Management:

  • Build and nurture relationships with key brands and suppliers.
  • Negotiate competitive terms for pricing, inventory, and marketing support.

Sales and Marketing Strategy:

  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to plan and execute category promotions and campaigns.
  • Use insights from data analytics to identify customer preferences and optimize product assortment.

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure seamless execution of inventory management, pricing strategies, and product launches.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Work cross-functionally with supply chain, finance, and marketing teams to drive category goals.
  • Foster a collaborative culture while maintaining accountability for results.

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of overall experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing P&L in any category within the UAE.
  • Experience in the category is a bonus but not mandatory.
  • Existing Brand relationships in category are a bonus but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent command over numbers with the ability to analyze and act on data.
  • Relentless focus on achieving sales and profitability targets.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to scale businesses multifold.
  • High resilience and readiness to work in a high-pressure, target-driven environment.
