Site Manager

Location: Jeddah

The primary purpose of the Site Manager role in the context of sporting events is to ensure the efficient and seamless execution of all on-site operations, creating an environment conducive to a successful and memorable event. The role encompasses various responsibilities, all contributing to the overall success and safety of the event.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborative Planning

• Work closely with site, production, creative, and technical programming teams to establish a solid foundation for seamless event delivery.
• Brainstorm and implement event plans and concepts to enhance the overall experience.

Logistics and Setups

• Conduct site reconnaissance, technical, and logistic assessments for event setups.
• Supervise crew and labor management to ensure efficient event logistics and setups.

Single Point of Contact

• Act as the single point of contact for all production teams, addressing needs such as artist liaisons, security, protocol, spectator services, technical and artist riders, and equipment deliveries.

Site Maintenance

• Manage the site, addressing concerns in collaboration with production teams and sub-contractors.
• Identify hazards and anticipate actions required for weather events and scheduled activities.

Technical Coordination

• Coordinate with technical contractors for installations, including audio, show lighting, and pyrotechnics.
• Set up, test, and operate lighting equipment for local and international events.

Permit and Documentation

• Oversee permit-to-work admissions and manage documentation for electrical, plumbing, and scaffolding PTWs.
• Lead the construction and layout planning of scaffolding structures.

Vendor Coordination

• Work closely with vendors providing services such as cleaning, branding, catering, machinery, and light towers.
• Ensure timely setup, maintenance, and dismantling of vendor areas.

Site Inspections & Safety

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Monitor the operation and maintenance of machinery and light towers for uninterrupted event services.

Event Execution Oversight

• Maintain a strong presence during build-up, operational days, and dismantling, supporting all teams involved.
• Supervise the cleaning team to ensure a presentable environment for participants and attendees.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with event organizers, vendors, and local authorities to address challenges during the event.

Branding Oversight

• Ensure proper placement and visibility of sponsor logos and event signage throughout the site.

Infrastructure Management

• Manage the build of tents, cabins, bridges, and gantries at the Off-Circuit venue.
• Ensure assigned zones are powered and secure.

AVLX & Live Event Operations

• Oversee zones on live operation days, ensuring AVLX systems function seamlessly.

Operational Procedures

• Coordinate with senior managers to implement operational procedures for vendors and suppliers.

Skills & Experience

Experience & Education

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in site management for large-scale sporting events.
• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of scaffolding structures and layout planning.
• Experience in coordinating AVLX setups for live events.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and crisis management.
