Job Role:

This individual leads the analysis, architecture, design, and development of data warehouse and business intelligence solutions primarily across Microsoft DWH and BI solutions stack. They develop and recommend strategies and specifications for BI solutions based on the analysis of business goals, objectives, needs, and existing data systems infrastructure. This person will be a thought leader/expert and will also be familiar with the use of other standard BI and DWH tools.

1. Act as an authority on BI strategies and technologies, and serve as an architecture expert to the organization, providing guidance on the appropriate application of these products.
2. Cover all aspects of the development lifecycle required to successfully deploy the BI solution. This includes SSAS, SSRS, Power BI, semantic layer design, BI technical architecture, performance tuning BI applications, and logical and physical data model design and implementation.
3. Understand the long-term business objectives and suggest technical strategies to meet those objectives by introducing innovation through technology and selecting the right tools from the BI tool suite.
4. Design end-to-end solutions (ETL, Warehouse, Reporting) to meet specific client requirements, using a variety of technologies.
5. Effectively analyze, resolve and document business problems with minimal oversight from senior management by being accountable for owning and resolving issues.
6. Effectively multi-task between initiatives and consistently produce quality deliverables requiring minimal QA from peers/supervisors.
7. Demonstrate the ability to effectively coach and mentor, being regarded and sought by more junior staff as a coach and mentor.
8. Stay current on new and relevant technologies.

Education:

1. Bachelor's Degree from a reputed educational Institute.
2. Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Engineering, or related fields is preferred.
3. Post-graduate degree is a plus.

General Skills Required:

1. Excellent consulting, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
2. Strong SQL and database experience with a major MS SQL Server.
3. Strong knowledge and experience over SSAS, SSRS, Power BI, and other related tools.
4. Strong background in IT.
5. Experience with Logical and Physical Data Modelling, and Database Architecture.
6. Experience with Data Warehousing and ETL Methodologies i.e. Informatica.
7. Familiarity with Erwin, Power designer, or a similar modelling tool.
8. Working knowledge of Hadoop Big Data architecture.
