As part of the Emerson Perfect Execution team, the KSA Indirect Material Specialist will support Emerson's 5-year strategic growth plan in MEA, driving positive change to Emerson's localization program and managing day-to-day regional sourcing activities. The role will be based out of Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV) Office in Dhahran, KSA
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Source various categories of indirect material including Capital projects at competitive prices to deliver the best total cost with minimum risk to Emerson.
- Drive Regionalization initiatives within KSA, with extensive collaboration with Legal, Internal Control and Compliance.
- Act as Consultant to other departments in procurement of services and materials, including continuous improvement programs, researching markets, generating / validating scope and specifications, contract development, administration, and grievance resolution.
- Liaise with legal for contract management to minimize Emerson's exposure to risk.
- Work in tandem with Finance department to implement procurement transactions and ensure appropriate procurement processes and policies are in place.
- Negotiate using structured process while optimizing use of electronic sourcing tool SAP-ARIBA.
- Optimize payment terms and drive DPO improvement.
- Partner with collaborators to ensure clear requirements documentation to issue RFx maximizing use of Preferred Supplier List (PSL).
- Develop strong Supplier-Emerson relationship, finding strategic ways to collaborate beyond a transaction to improve range of opportunities and position Emerson as a preferred customer.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and delivery schedules, especially for long term contracts and long lead time or Capital projects.
- Demonstrate very high level of integrity and drive compliance to the Emerson Code of Ethics.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering or general business.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- 2-3 Years relevant work experience in a matrix organization, supporting supply chain function.
- Good knowledge of in-Kingdom supplier base, and proven track record of delivering savings.
- Involvement in direct negotiations with suppliers.
- Exposure to e-sourcing platforms and setting up RFQs. Ariba experience preferred.
- ERP - Oracle / JD Edwards experience preferred.
- CIPS (beneficial but not essential)
