An exciting opportunity is available for Senior Supervisor Overhauling based in Jizan and will report directly to Superintendent, Mechanical Maintenance.

About the role:

The Overhauling Supervisor oversees multiple mechanical teams in performing preventive, corrective, and repair maintenance for smelter plant equipment including electrodes, hydraulic systems, pumps, conveyors, fans, compressors, piping, tanks, valves, etc. He plans and assigns his teams by redirecting resources to meet service requirements and prioritized maintenance, as well as reviews maintenance work and recommends improvement initiatives to achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). He also deploys teams to manage equipment breakdowns.

He is required to work in the workshops and on site. In addition, he possesses excellent technical and supervisory skills and can coordinate work activities across multiple workshop teams.

The Overhauling Supervisor is responsible for the management of staff, assuring their work quality and all matters relating to mechanical services are achieved. This position ensures the designated workshop area is maintained in accordance with 5S requirements.

You will be responsible to:

  1. Planning maintenance schedules and activities to minimize downtime.
  2. Prioritizing work schedules for OM, repairs, rebuilds, and maintenance.
  3. Directing and supervising mechanical Technicians to complete the work safely, check their work quality, and coach them.
  4. Ensuring compliance with SHE policies.
  5. Maintaining a clean and safe workplace and implementing 5S.
  6. Managing and reporting workplace incidents and safety breaches.
  7. Reviewing quotes for materials and supplies.
  8. Scoping and estimating costs and timeframes for maintenance work.
  9. Reviewing completed works.
  10. Following up and closing the Work order in SAP.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 8 years of experience or more in heavy industries or a related field.

Required Skills:

  • Deep and professional Mechanical engineering knowledge.
  • Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience of multi-mechanical works and repairs including pumps, conveyors, compressors using vendor instructions, OEM manuals, and drawings.
  • Excellent knowledge in fabrication, welding, and machining works.
  • Excellent experience in assembly, disassembly of equipment in addition to installation and dismantling supervision on site.
  • Good knowledge in maintenance overhauling supervision, including material handling, control on consumables, tools, and checklist implementations.
  • Good reporting skills and experience in using CMMS for work orders follow-ups and updates.
  • Good experience in doing jobs as per safety requirements and standards.
  • Good knowledge of Safety Work Permits requirements including hot work and confined spaces.
  • Good record of complying with safety requirements and encouraging your team to work safely.
