We're looking for passionate, high-spirited individuals to join the pre-opening team at Kimpton Riyadh, the very first Kimpton hotel in the Middle East. As a Steward Supervisor at an international luxury hotel, your daily activities would typically include:

  1. Supervising Staff: Overseeing the stewarding team to ensure efficient and effective operations. Conducting daily briefings and assigning tasks to team members.
  2. Cleaning and Sanitation: Ensuring that all kitchen and back-of-house areas are clean and sanitized. Implementing and monitoring cleaning schedules and procedures.
  3. Inventory Management: Managing inventory of kitchen equipment, cleaning supplies, and chemicals. Ordering supplies as needed and ensuring proper storage.
  4. Equipment Maintenance: Inspecting kitchen equipment regularly to ensure it is in good working condition. Coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.
  5. Waste Management: Overseeing waste disposal and recycling programs. Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and hotel policies.
  6. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all staff follow health and safety guidelines. Conducting regular safety training and drills.
  7. Training and Development: Training new staff on hotel standards and procedures. Providing ongoing training and development opportunities for the team.
  8. Quality Control: Conducting inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization. Addressing any issues or deficiencies promptly.
  9. Collaboration: Working closely with the kitchen and food and beverage departments to ensure smooth operations. Communicating effectively with other departments to coordinate efforts.
  10. Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of cleaning activities, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance. Preparing reports for management on stewarding operations.

These responsibilities help maintain the high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency expected at a luxury hotel.

What we need from you

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

  1. Bachelor's degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration
  2. Two to Three years' prior tenure in a similar role
  3. International luxury hotel chain background
  4. GCC exposure
  5. English Fluency is required
  6. Arabic Fluency is preferred
