Creative, collaborative, and a great executor, the Brand Designer is responsible for developing and maintaining the visual identity and brand strategy of the studio. This hybrid role combines the strategic oversight of a Brand Manager with the creative skills of a Graphic Designer to ensure cohesive and compelling brand representation across all platforms. Regular interaction with marketing, communications, and operations teams is required to ensure cohesive brand representation.

This role is strategic, creative, and hands-on requiring the development and execution of brand strategies that enhance the studio's visual identity and market presence while remaining hands-on with the day-to-day management and creation of assets.

Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy and Management:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies that align with the studio's goals and objectives
  • Monitor brand performance and make recommendations for improvements
Visual Identity Management:
  • Maintain the studio's visual identity, including logos, color schemes, typography, and other design elements
  • Build and ensure consistency of brand visuals across all marketing materials, digital platforms, internal communications templates, and physical products
  • Update brand guidelines and ensure adherence across all departments
Graphic Design:
  • Design and produce high-quality graphics for various media, including websites, social media, print materials, and promotional items
  • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to create visually appealing and effective marketing campaigns
  • Manage the design process from concept to final execution, ensuring all designs meet brand standards
Content Creation:
  • Develop engaging visual content for social media, websites, and other digital platforms
  • Create compelling presentations and pitch materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with the content team to ensure visual content aligns with overall brand messaging
Project Management:
  • Manage multiple design and communication projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output
  • Coordinate with external vendors and agencies for additional design and production support if required
  • Maintain organized files and documentation for all design and communication projects
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with the marketing, communications, operations, and executive teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment with business objectives
  • Present design concepts and strategies to stakeholders and incorporate feedback
  • Foster a collaborative environment within the design and communications team and across departments
Requirements:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in brand management, graphic design, and communications, with a strong portfolio showcasing brand development, design work, and campaigns
Skills:
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience with AI tools in the creative, design and communications space
  • Strong understanding of branding principles, marketing strategies, and communication techniques
  • Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of current design and communication trends and best practices
  • Strong writing and editing skills for various communication materials
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, startup environment.
