A Technology Sales Engineer role (what we internally call a, 'Brand Technical Specialist') within IBM Automation means providing industry-leading solutions to help our clients face into the challenges of cloud security, advanced threats, compliance and privacy, and mobile and remote security. Your role and responsibilities
As a Brand Technical Specialist, you'll work closely with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how IBM's industry leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Client Strategy Development: Create strategic plans for clients, focusing on infrastructure, applications, and automation solutions.
- IBM Automation Solution Design: Define practical IBM Automation and Cloud solutions that enhance existing technology stacks. With emphasis on key technologies, like, HashiCorp Terraform, HashiCorp Vault and RedHat solutions.
- Proof of Value Delivery: Provide proof of concepts and simplifying technical concepts to ensure client comprehension.
- Building Credibility and Trust: Establish credibility and trust with clients, which is essential for closing complex technology deals.
- Opportunity Progression: Augment and assist sales teams with strategic opportunities, from discovery through to closure. Provide consultative advice Identity related solutions.
- Technical Advocacy: Act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers. Understand and articulate business value and ROI for Identity solutions, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
Required education
High School Diploma/GED
Preferred education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- Business Goal Translation: Translating business goals into technical solutions through collaborative teamwork.
- Stakeholder Influence: Utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence diverse senior stakeholders within enterprises.
- Experience designing, implementing, and managing HashiCorp solutions.
- Experience with IAM tools and systems, such as Microsoft Identity Manager, Okta, Ping or IBM Identity Solutions.
- Experience with RedHat Ansible.
- Excellent communication and project administration skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Technology Project Demonstration Skills: Expertise in multi-faceted complex, security technology projects.
- Strong Security Concept Expertise: Know, understand and be able to translate IAM related security needs into practical solutions to solve those problems.
- This is a solution-oriented, hands-on position.
