Compliance Operation Specialist, Global Solutions and Risk Compliance (GSRC)

Amazon.com operates in a virtual, global e-commerce environment without boundaries, and operates a diverse set of businesses in fourteen countries, including Retail, third party marketplaces, e-commerce platforms, and web services for developers.
As a member of Amazon Compliance Operation team, we are responsible for the classification of ASINs in our catalog that can be safely stored in the Fulfilment Center's and shipped to customers while safely meeting all local laws and regulations. We also prevent the sale of items that either Amazon chooses not to sell or are prohibited by law or regulations. In the global trade and direct import areas, we are accountable for the import tariff classification and ensure imported products have had proper testing for safety and operability.

The team that you will work with is responsible for ensuring that the Amazon Private Brand products have been tested in certified laboratories and that you will comply with the legal requirements of the target selling marketplace, and conduct post-launch audits of Private Brand Products following product compliance requirements.

Key job responsibilities:

  1. Be Compliance Operation focal point of worldwide projects including new system launch, new task onboarding, and Kaizen activities.
  2. Ensure that good ideas are consistently implemented across all tasks to improve efficiency and standardize process workflows to meet KPI goals.
  3. Understand the business and identify potential areas of improvement from a technical perspective or regulatory risk.
  4. Facilitate communication between vendors and stakeholders to provide support timely and correctly.
  5. Maintain vendor management process documentation and training.
  6. Handle compliance crises or escalations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree with 3+ years lab experience and familiarity with protocols and NA/EU regulations.
  2. Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  3. Strong multi-tasking ability and experience with meeting multiple deadlines.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
  5. Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written) with vendor, client, or customer-facing experience, capable of meeting with stakeholders independently.
  6. One of the following abilities:
    1. Project management skills or strong communication skills with customers and stakeholders.
    2. Knowledge of product claims.
    3. Experience in SOP/process excellence management in a similar industry.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
