The Assistant IT Manager supports the IT Manager in handling daily IT operations. Responsibilities include maintaining core technology standards, managing the desktop environment, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting the IT Helpdesk, and overseeing the administration of the hotel's IT equipment.

What you'll be doing as an Assistant IT Manager:
  • Resolve IT issues for colleagues via troubleshooting or escalation to the Corporate Helpdesk.
  • Provide IT assistance to in-house guests and during events.
  • Support and administer applications, systems, servers, and networks.
  • Monitor the hotel data centre and IT racks.
  • Manage daily backups of critical data.
  • Deploy IT equipment for refresh cycles or loans.
  • Conduct PCI training.
  • Manage system access during onboarding and offboarding.
  • Coordinate with vendors on hardware maintenance and support.
  • Maintain IT asset and software license inventories.
What we're looking for:
  • Minimum Diploma in Information Technology with relevant IT experience, preferably in the hotel industry.
  • Experience with hospitality applications such as Opera PMS and Micros POS is an advantage.
  • Experience with Cisco / Aruba network hardware configuration is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory.
  • Organized, analytical, resourceful, meticulous, and confident.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a dynamic environment with good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive with a positive learning attitude.
  • Analytical in technical problem-solving.
  • Willingness to learn and support new hardware and software.
