Chief Security

• Supervise the day-to-day security force to ensure the safety and security of all guests, employees and hotel property
• Design, implement and train employees on preventive security programs
• Conduct patrols and regular checks on all Security Officers to assure that they are alert and discharging their duties efficiently and effectively
• Conduct all criminal investigations, prepare investigation papers/documents and report cases in connection with crime, subversions, potential liabilities and insurance requirements
• Assist colleagues in handling unusual guests or employee issues, such as disorderly conduct, thefts, suicides, bomb threats, employee or guest accidents, fire or safety hazards, robberies, terrorist activities, civil disturbances, power or elevator failures, medical assistance and natural disasters
• Keep abreast of developments within the hotel and community as they relate to security and act as a liaison with local law-enforcement agencies
• Be fully conversant with current local laws and regulations as they relate to the hotel, particularly in the area of guests, patrons and employees' rights
• Provide security coverage for VIP guests
• Oversee and ensure expenditures are within the budget
• Cultivate informers to obtain information of security interest that may be of immediate or future use to the Department for prevention and detection purposes
• Ensure that all pertinent information is documented in the Daily Security Report
• Always be on-call, including off-duty hours, for any emergency that may arise
• Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times
• Identify and develop team members with potential
• Conduct performance reviews with the team
• Constantly monitor team members' appearance, attitude and degree of professionalism
• Prepare detailed induction programs for new employees
• Develop, conduct and maintain all staff training programs for team members, focusing on their development needs and providing them with new skills to meet the changing needs of the business
• Prepare weekly staff schedules keeping in mind anticipated business, operating budgets and standards of service
• Conduct monthly departmental meetings to provide information to team members, obtain their feedback, rectify operational issues and provide a regular forum for department communication
• Report for duty on time wearing clean and complete uniform at all times
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Resort

Qualifications

• Secondary / High school education
• Certificates in Fire Safety Management (Commercial Building), National Skills Recognition System, CPR and First Aid Management
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
• Following country legislation, the vacancy is exclusively for Indonesian nationals.
