Minimum Knowledge & Experience – Health & Safety Manager (GACAR 151)Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Aviation Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: Advanced certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) or postgraduate diploma in safety management.
- Comprehensive understanding of GACAR Part 5 – Safety Management System (SMS).
- Knowledge of international aviation safety standards (e.g., ICAO Annex 19, IATA Ground Operations Manual).
- Familiarity with risk management principles including hazard identification, safety risk assessment, and safety assurance.
- Understanding of Saudi Labor Law related to workplace safety and employee welfare.
- Knowledge of airport operations and ground handling procedures.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in aviation ground services or airport operations.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, investigations, and producing related reports.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing safety teams and promoting a safety culture.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Ability to train staff on safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Capable of developing incident tracking and safety data analysis tools and protocols to enhance workplace health and safety.
- Decision-making and emergency response planning skills.
- Mid-Senior level
