Job Description

The Data Integration and Connectivity Specialist will play a pivotal role in the seamless integration of diverse data sources and systems within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of data integration methodologies, connectivity protocols, and database management, complemented by hands-on experience in utilizing data integration tools and technologies. This entry-level position requires a commitment to continuous learning and a proactive attitude in troubleshooting and resolving data connectivity issues. Leveraging analytical skills, the specialist will assist in ensuring data integrity and accuracy, supporting business objectives through efficient data flow and accessibility. The role demands strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and contribute to the design and implementation of data integration solutions that align with organizational goals.

Job Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

Proven experience of at least 1 year in data integration, data management, or a similar role.

Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.

Understanding of data connectivity methodologies, including APIs, web services, and data streaming.

Knowledge of relational database design and SQL for data manipulation and querying.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

Commitment to maintaining data quality and integrity standards throughout the integration process.

Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and analytical mindset.

Willingness to learn new technologies and tools related to data integration and connectivity.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to relay technical information effectively.

Job Responsibilities

Assist in the design and execution of data integration processes to support internal and external data flows.

Collaborate with team members to gather data requirements and evaluate data source systems for integration suitability.

Participate in the implementation of ETL processes to ensure accurate transformation of data into usable formats.

Monitor and troubleshoot data connectivity issues, providing timely solutions to prevent data discrepancies.

Conduct regular data quality checks to identify and rectify errors in integrated datasets.

Document integration processes and workflows, ensuring clarity for future reference and compliance with best practices.

Maintain awareness of evolving data integration technologies, recommending improvements and solutions for enhanced efficiency.

Provide support to cross-functional teams by understanding their data needs and contributing to the development of effective data strategies.

Facilitate training sessions for end-users on new data tools or integration processes as needed.

Stay engaged with industry trends and participate in professional development opportunities to advance skills in data integration.

Required Skills

Proficient in SQL for data querying and manipulation.

Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java is a plus.

Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their data services.

Understanding of data modeling concepts and tools.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manage large datasets.

Capability to learn new software and database technologies quickly.
