Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor financial performance against the budget, conducting variance analysis and providing actionable insights to senior management
  • Manage the annual budgeting process independently, collaborating with department heads to gather necessary information
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Develop and implement budgeting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency across the organization
  • Collaborate with department heads to forecast revenues and expenditures, identifying potential financial risks and opportunities
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on budget management and reporting tools
  • Work with external auditors during the audit process to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards
  • Identify areas for process improvement within budgeting and reporting practices
  • Maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and long-term financial planning
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFA are preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or reporting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, budgeting principles, and reporting requirements
  • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting techniques
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of sports club operations and financial management is a plus
