Role Description

The Operations Manager will lead the KSA office, overseeing all in-country operations, including Sales & Business Development, Logistics, Contracts, and Payroll functions. The role requires a diverse skill set encompassing operational management, commercial knowledge, business development, and the ability to negotiate and develop strategic relationships at a senior level.

Principle Accountabilities:

Financial & Commercial Management:

  1. Assume full P&L responsibility for the business unit, ensuring all budgeted financial KPI targets—including Headcount, Revenue, Gross Profit (GP), and EBITDA are met.
  2. Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability.
  3. Ensure 100% fiscal and operational compliance in line with local regulations and company policies.

Compliance & Regulatory Affairs:

  1. Ensure effective management of the Government Relations Officer (GRO) function to maintain consistent Iqama availability for employees.
  2. Establish and maintain strong relationships with governmental and statutory bodies, including Immigration and Tax offices, to ensure compliance with all local regulations.
  3. Manage nationalisation regulations through the Nitaqat system to ensure business continuity and regulatory compliance.

Business Development & Sales Growth:

  1. Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities to expand the Airswift customer base in KSA.
  2. Increase sales performance by implementing targeted strategies and ensuring client satisfaction.
  3. Continually review business strategy and proactively assess potential risks.

Operational Efficiency & Service Delivery:

  1. Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the seamless delivery of services to clients.
  2. Continuously review and enhance operational efficiencies to optimise workflow and service quality.
  3. Visit satellite offices and client work sites regularly to assess operations and strengthen client relationships.
  4. Establish and maintain relationships with local supply chains and service providers, including accommodation, transportation, and professional services firms.

Team Leadership & Organisational Development:

  1. Develop and lead the KSA team, driving professional performance and team development.
  2. Recruit and onboard local support staff to manage logistics and administrative functions.
  3. Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, training, and mentorship programs.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  1. Strong operational management experience, preferably within the recruitment industry.
  2. Excellent business development skills with a proven track record in sales growth.
  3. In-depth knowledge of the local market in KSA and experience with overseas business operations.
  4. Strong working relationships with local governmental and statutory bodies.
  5. Hands-on experience establishing a new business setup, including governmental registrations and structuring.
  6. Experience managing nationalisation programs such as Nitaqat.

  1. Strong financial acumen with the ability to work with budgets and financial reports.
  2. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced presentation and reporting skills.
  4. Exceptional diligence, particularly in managing contracts and client requirements.
Market Presence & Community Engagement:
  1. Participate in and sponsor community business and social events where appropriate.
  2. Network and promote Airswift within local communities, maintaining sensitivity to political and cultural dynamics.
