Objective:

is seeking two highly experienced Lead Engineers to join our Curriculum Team. These positions are critical for ensuring the transfer of technical expertise, best practices, and hands-on operational knowledge to the next generation of professionals in Downstream Operations. The ideal candidates will be seasoned professionals who are passionate about technical training, curriculum development, and enhancing workforce capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Technical Course Materials: Create comprehensive, work-task centric workshops and materials that prepare early and mid-career professionals for mastery in their core job family tasks within the downstream refining and gas operations sectors.
  • Facilitate Technical Courses: Lead engaging, in-person and virtual training sessions for employees at various career stages, ensuring effective knowledge transfer of industry best practices and operational excellence.
  • Curriculum Development: Design and build structured learning pathways and job family-specific curriculums, catering to the needs of early-career professionals through to independent, competent contributors.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor, fostering technical skill development and operational excellence across various teams, enhancing overall team competency.
  • Ensure Training Effectiveness: Continuously improve training programs by incorporating industry trends, participant feedback, and real-life workplace scenarios, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Collaboration and Review: Work closely with industry experts and stakeholders to validate content, ensure relevance, and uphold the highest standards of technical accuracy and instructional quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field; advanced degrees are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas downstream refining and gas operations industry, with a strong focus on operational processes and training.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development and technical training within the oil and gas industry.
  • Exceptional understanding of industry standards and best practices, with hands-on operational experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences effectively.
  • Strong analytical and evaluative skills, with the ability to assess training needs and outcomes.
  • Experience with instructional design and e-learning technologies is a plus.
