Riyadh, Ar Riyāḑ, Saudi Arabia Nutanix Full time
Managed Services Provider (MSP) Systems Engineer, Emerging Markets

Are you a self-starter with strong networking and virtualization skills, who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about technology? If so, you will find this role as a Managed Services Provider (MSP) Systems Engineer for Emerging Markets an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team, contribute to innovative solutions, and drive the growth of managed service offerings across the EMEA region.

About the Team

The Managed Services Provider (MSP) team at Nutanix is focused on delivering comprehensive solutions tailored to service providers across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This dynamic team thrives on collaboration, innovation, and creativity, fostering a culture where experienced professionals operate independently while also supporting one another. The mission of the MSP team is to enhance the delivery of Nutanix's cutting-edge technologies in the managed services landscape, ensuring that partners receive the support and resources needed to succeed in a competitive market.

You will report to the Hiring Manager for Channel SEs in the Europe, Middle East, Africa region, who champions a supportive leadership style aimed at removing barriers for team members and empowering them to execute their roles effectively. The work setup for this role is hybrid, allowing flexibility in where you work, with expectations of being in the office for part of the week; however, specific days for in-office work have yet to be determined.

The travel requirements for this role are expected to be around 40% initially, with the potential to increase to 50% or even 60% as the region becomes busier. This translates to approximately 1 to 3 days of travel per week, although much work can effectively be accomplished via virtual meetings, minimizing the need for constant travel.

Your Role

  • Provide technical Presales support to MSP sellers and partners, addressing inquiries and facilitating solutions.
  • Conduct proposal development and sizing based on partner data to drive business initiatives.
  • Organize and manage proof of concepts (POCs) and demonstrations for partners.
  • Collaborate with specialists and internal teams to develop comprehensive technical strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within partner networks to foster community engagement.
  • Work with the Nutanix Regional SE Manager to drive field pre and post-sales alignment and engagement with partners.
  • Invest time and effort to learn new technologies to help our partners adapt their solutions and integrate your knowledge into their efforts.
  • Achieve set performance metrics and contribute to over-quota results in managed services offerings.
  • Support team growth by identifying the need for additional resources based on workload and performance.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning by experimenting with new technologies and processes.

What You Will Bring

  • A minimum of 5 years of presales experience in the Service Provider space and 10 years of overall customer-facing technical experience are required.
  • Subject matter expertise in one or more relevant technology disciplines to establish credibility with technical leaders.
  • Strong Cloud, networking, and virtualization skills.
  • Experience with public cloud technologies, specifically AWS and Azure.
  • Knowledge of storage technologies and multi-tenancy architectures.
  • Familiarity with automation, scripting, and application blueprinting technologies (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Understanding of cloud-native technologies and security practices.
  • Confident public speaking and exceptional relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and translate goals into actionable plans.

This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week; however, certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
