Construction Manager

Company Introduction:

We are a leading EPC contracting company in Saudi Arabia, specializing in high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) substations, overhead transmission lines (OHTL), power plants, water treatment facilities, and large-scale infrastructure projects. To support our growing operations, we are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead and oversee the execution of our major projects.

Position Overview:

The Construction Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the execution of construction activities in accordance with project requirements, budgets, and schedules. This role involves ensuring safety compliance, quality assurance, and effective coordination between teams to deliver successful construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:Project Execution & Site Management:
  • Oversee the entire construction process from mobilization to completion.
  • Ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications.
  • Lead daily site operations, ensuring efficient use of manpower, materials, and equipment.
Construction Planning & Coordination:
  • Develop and implement construction work plans, methodologies, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project deliverables.
Quality Control & Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with SEC, IEC, IEEE, ISO, and Saudi Building Code regulations.
  • Enforce HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and conduct risk assessments.
  • Conduct quality inspections and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
Budget & Resource Management:
  • Monitor project costs, resource allocations, and financial expenditures.
  • Optimize material and manpower utilization to prevent cost overruns.
  • Assist in forecasting construction expenses and cost control measures.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Communication:
  • Supervise site engineers, supervisors, and field staff, ensuring team productivity.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between project owners, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings, addressing site challenges and providing updates.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Troubleshoot technical and logistical issues that may affect project timelines.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance construction efficiency and performance.
Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate site records, daily logs, and construction reports.
  • Ensure timely submission of progress reports, material approvals, and work permits.
  • Support final project handover, documentation, and as-built drawings preparation.
Qualifications:Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • A Master's degree in Project Management or Engineering Management is an advantage.
Experience:
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in construction management for EPC, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
  • Proven experience in substations, OHTL, power plants, or large-scale construction projects is highly preferred.
Key Skills:
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, site execution, and resource management.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and construction management software.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, and workforce teams.
Preferred Certifications:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager).
  • SEC (Saudi Electricity Company) certification is an advantage.
  • NEBOSH, OSHA, or relevant safety certifications preferred.
