We are seeking a motivated and proactive Solution Architect with extensive hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our team. The Solution Architect will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud solutions for our client, a state-owned aviation management company in Saudi Arabia.

Our client is a state-owned closed joint-stock company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia that offers services in aviation management. Established in 2013 by the country's General Authority of Civil Aviation, it today operates all of Saudi Arabia's 29 civilian airports through its four wholly owned subsidiaries.

The client aims to accelerate the adoption of cloud computing services and seeks a team of experts to help them shift their infrastructure to the cloud.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, cloud computing, or software engineering.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions.
  • Experience with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with defining cloud migration strategies, including assessments, roadmaps, and execution plans.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architectures.
  • Strong background in networking, hybrid-cloud, and multi-cloud strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go for automation.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in stakeholder management.
  • Upper-Intermediate or Advanced level of English.
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect certification is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Design scalable, resilient, and secure GCP-based solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Develop end-to-end cloud architectures, integrating networking, security, and application components.
  • Provide architectural leadership in defining best practices, standards, and guidelines for cloud adoption.
  • Define cloud migration strategies, including assessments, roadmaps, and execution plans.
  • Lead the design and execution of migrating on-premise and legacy applications to GCP.
  • Ensure cloud solutions align with multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud strategies where required.

Security, Compliance & Governance:

  • Design security frameworks, including IAM, encryption, network security, and data protection policies.
  • Ensure cloud solutions comply with ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, and GDPR.
  • Implement cloud governance to standardize deployments and enforce security best practices.

Performance Optimization & Cost Efficiency:

  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Utilize GCP cost management tools to track and optimize cloud expenses.
  • Ensure cloud solutions meet SLA, SLO, and SLI requirements.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Work closely with Cloud Architects, DevOps Engineers, and Software Engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Provide technical mentorship to teams and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.
